About Me
Hi! My name is Alyssa. Lifelong foodie. Cupcake addict. Party planner extraordinaire. Lover of all things pink and sparkly.
I’m the blogger behind A Bite of Inspiration, a creative food blog with (mostly) healthy recipes that are fun and easy to make. I believe every meal should be special, so the foundation of my blog is explaining the inspiration behind each of my recipes, so they will have more meaning to you. You can learn more about the inspiration aspect of my blog here.
I love meditation, yoga, hiking, and the outdoors. I always try to cook and eat mindfully because food isn’t just nourishment for your body—it’s a sensory experience.
I’ve loved cooking and creating my own dishes ever since I can remember. When I was about 10 years old, I made some sort of basil, tomato, olive oil, and pasta concoction that my parents loved (or at least pretended to!) That simple dish sparked my interest in cooking. Soon after that, I began creating multi-course meals for my parents on weekends. I wore a flowery apron and insisted they stay seated during the cooking of all 5 courses like a “real restaurant” (this was sometimes 4 hours—my parents are champs.) The rest is history.
When I’m not cooking, you can find me watching Food Network, playing dress up, singing, scrapbooking, or eating at tapas restaurants with my fiancé, Mateo.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I really hope you enjoy my recipes, stories, and inspiration! I always strive to create dishes that inspire as much in you, as they do in me. I love feedback, so feel free to comment or contact me anytime!
Keep cooking and stay inspired… Always. ❤️
