A regular recipe fuels just your body -> a recipe that’s inspired fuels your body AND your mind
Food is everywhere. It’s in what we read and watch, how we celebrate, a major reason why we travel, and is an integral part of nearly every aspect of our lives. Food isn’t just “stuff” that we put into our bodies. It’s what connects us to one another.
The cornerstone of my blog is explaining the inspiration behind each recipe. Great recipes don’t just happen on their own—they are always inspired by something. When you learn where a recipe comes from, it will automatically have more meaning to you when you cook and eat it.
The inspiration aspect of my blog takes my recipes and your experience of cooking them to a whole new level. I aim to create recipes for every occasion, every passion, and every part of life. The recipes were inspired by my experiences, but how they inspire you is special and all your own! You don’t have to go on grand adventures or even leave your home because my recipes will bring the adventure to you.
With the increased pace of our lifestyles and the heightened amount of processed food in our diets comes the problem of many people feeling continuously uninspired by the food they’re eating. Food shouldn’t be boring. You and your family shouldn’t be eating the same old dishes night after night with no story or meaning behind them. I created this blog to bring back the fun, creativity, and stories behind our food. I want to bring inspiration to your dinner table with easy, healthy, and unique meals.
Once you experience an inspired recipe, you’ll have reignited your excitement and passion for food. Why eat regular spaghetti when you can have spaghetti that makes you feel like you’re in Rome enjoying a delicious plate overlooking the Colosseum? That’s what I want you to feel every time you cook a recipe from my blog—that I didn’t just give you another meal, I gave you an experience. An inspiration.
In short, my ultimate goal is to help YOU lead your most inspired life.
The inspiration on my blog is divided into four categories: travel, lifestyle, entertainment, and celebration! Each recipe uses the tagline “A Bite Inspired By…”, so you know exactly what inspired each dish right away. You’ll find a brief description of each category below.
Travel– Meals inspired by travel, exploration, and adventure. Recipes in this section are inspired by what I saw, what I experienced, and how I felt when I traveled to a certain destination. These recipes allow you to go on a mini vacation without ever leaving your own home! When you cook and eat a recipe inspired by travel, you’ll feel like you’re THERE and not just at your kitchen table.
Lifestyle– Meals inspired by different aspects of a healthy lifestyle. The inspiration in this section varies because there are a lot of activities that make up a balanced life. Many recipes in this section center on health and wellness activities, such as exercise, meditation, gardening, and hiking. These recipes not only remind me of these activities, but also how I feel afterwards—renewed, refreshed, and revitalized. You can also easily pair the recipes with the activity itself. For example, a recipe inspired by running would also be the perfect fuel for a run! Recipes in this section can also center on other aspects of our daily lives, such as cooking on a budget, date night, school, or work. The goal is to turn these, at times, routine activities into inspired ones through food.
Entertainment– Meals inspired by movies, books, TV, and music. This is the fun section, where I create recipes around a huge variety of entertainment, so you can experience a movie or book with all your senses, including taste! No entertainment experience is complete without a meal to match. These recipes are perfect for a movie watching party or just a fun meal to eat at home before streaming flicks on the couch. You can also enjoy them with your favorite book or song for a more complete, inspired experience. The possibilities are endless!
Celebration– Meals inspired by holidays, parties, and other special occasions. Because who doesn’t love a good party? These recipes can be made anytime to turn a regular old day into a spectacular one! You shouldn’t have to wait for your favorite holidays in order to celebrate the beauty of life. While a recipe inspired by Thanksgiving is perfect for your holiday dinner, you can also make it year round to get the same warm feeling Thanksgiving gives you whenever you want! Don’t wait—celebrate!
