Food Philosophy
When I design a recipe, I am inspired by taste first and foremost, followed by health and creativity.
I believe that food should make you feel strong, nourished, and happy, but none of that is possible if it doesn’t taste delicious. I create recipes that prioritize taste, but also make your body and mind feel good about what you’re consuming. You’ll mostly find healthy recipes here, but you’ll also occasionally find a “less healthy” recipe that just tastes amazing (I’m only human after all!)
I also focus heavily on creativity in designing my recipes. You’ll find unique recipes and twists on classics that you won’t find anywhere else. From Vegan Thai Curry Mac and Cheese to Dessert “Fish and Chips”, every recipe I create is a culinary adventure for you and your taste buds!
To sum up: always delicious + usually healthy + consistently creative = an inspired recipe!
Allergies and Special Diets
This blog does not follow any specific allergy or dietary restriction. However, if a recipe is vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, nut-free, or gluten-free, it will say so on the recipe card under “Cuisine”, so those who follow these diets can find them more easily. You can also search for recipes that fall under these diets in the search bar or recipe index.
I have a minor dairy intolerance, myself, so I do have quite a few dairy-free recipes on the blog. I can tolerate milk and butter more easily than heavy cream and cheese, so you will see many recipes with butter and small amounts of milk. Occasionally, I’ll post a recipe that’s heavier on the dairy, if the inspiration strikes me. I absolutely LOVE cheese, even though I can’t eat it that often, so I definitely plan on sharing some decadently cheesy recipes with you here and there. If a recipe includes a lot of cheese or cream, I will usually offer a dairy-free option too, if possible.
